Dont remember when this stopped working, but I used to use this app on previous versions of iOS at least and it worked perfectly. Now I have to find a new app, because this no longer sounds alarms unless the app is right on the screen in front of you the whole time, who does that? Im always running another app.
Not being able to hear the alarm if the app is not open makes this app useless.
There are free apps available that have features just as good as this one and in many cases better - features that better meet my needs. And did I mention theyre free?
Ive looked at a bunch of pomodoro/task timer apps and they are either way to complex or just badly designed. Focus time does one thing (pomodoro tasks) but does it extremely well. Happy I found this...
Focus time is worth the money for me because in addition to its clean design with the standard pomodoro functionality, it also syncs beautifully between desktop and phone and allows for tracking time spent across different tasks. I only wish they would an Apple Watch feature so you could get a tap when sessions end.
Quits working during activity. Do not get.
Best Focus App.. Period.
Focus Time is well worth the small amount of money the developer charges. It’s stable, easy to use, configurable and well designed. I use it every day.
Multiple sounds. Dont want a gong to end the time? Pleasant sounds await. Simple project tracking. Flat Tomato is nice, but so complicated! With this, click the project youre working on. Done. Easy visuals. Clean, bright. Rotates! What phones do these people have, when they can run it all day and not plug it in? I have a stand that requires me to put my phone on its side to be plugged in. Auto rotation is important to me. Skip the rest, pay the cash, enjoy a great timer. Also, it doesnt have a "tomato" theme. I like that!
This app is a great productivity timer, and the graphs are nice (I would have given it a 4), but the sync feature is broken on my iPhone 6. I am able to sync between the Mac app and my iPad, but on the iPhone when I click to “Enable Syncing” in the app it just gives me another “Enable Syncing” button, over and over again, without actually syncing. There is no support on their web page, and the iTunes “Report a Problem” feature just sends you to their web page. I like to time my sessions from my phone so I don’t clutter up my desktop, so lack of syncing is a deal breaker. I’ll be shopping around for another app :(
